Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who leaped a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video shows the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also criticised event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a two-part version of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, winning several for best costume and production design.
