Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the controversy from his public comments.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

He emphasized that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added.
He also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and securing victories.”
