That Gruesome Animated Movie Conclusion That Haunts Audiences

Among every adult-oriented animated films I have personally watched, no other has lingered in my mind quite like the dread-soaked conclusion of a graphically gory and highly provocative 2022 movie The Unicorn Wars.

In 2015’s, the Spanish filmmaker crafted a dark, bleak and frequently brutal world that included some tiny , desolate glimmers of optimism.

Although The Unicorn Wars feels like it stemmed from a drive to expand animation even more, the director clarified that it was rather an attempt to communicate a widespread, multicultural message concerning “the mutual source of all wars.”

This theme is expressed by means of a group of colorful pastel bears , obviously inspired by a famous line of cuddly figures.

Being raised in a society centered on militarism and the defense industry, a lot of the bears are fixated on exterminating the mythical beasts, because of a sacred text that claims the bears they used to be masters of the forest, until these creatures expelled them.

A few haven’t fully bought into the indoctrination, , choose to experiment with narcotics or mate in the forest.

Unlike their friendly counterparts, these vivid animals have visible genitals , definite urges.

For a certain notably brutal, cynical bear, the bear named Bluey, the conflict against the unicorns transforms into a path to control — and specifically to authority over his softer, more compassionate sibling the bear Tubby.

This bear is a bully , a seeming sociopath , and while horror dominates his squad and takes his comrades one by one, he takes progressively control personally, via progressively violent, harmful methods.

Simultaneously, the unicorns are enduring their own nightmare, through an expanding, destructive monster in their forest.

“Initially, it feels like a humorous movie,” the director stated. “Yet it evolves into a more intense and sorrowful movie. And ultimately, it becomes a scary feature.”

The Unicorn Wars begins similar to one of the more quirky films from a legendary animator, that uncover a naughty glee in allowing drawn beings curse, shoot each other, or engage sexually.

Afterward it becomes closer to a darker work from that director, featuring progressively explicit brutality and a tangible link to the actual suffering of battle.

By the end, it is a complete theatrical horror carnage.

The terror which makes the film a Halloween-friendly watch kicks in much sooner than one might expect.

The Unicorn Wars is ideal for the devoted gorehounds, for enthusiasts of graphic films who want to watch something they haven’t ever viewed until now, and are able to withstand a story which delivers absolutely no punches.

View it in a dark room free from interruptions, and the conclusion will crawl deep within you and linger.
