The British government is set to progress with utilizing the entire amount of seized Russia's funds to aid the Ukrainian military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the UK, France, and Germany asserted that this joint measure would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the move would be executed in close cooperation with the America.

United Kingdom restrictions have blocked more than £25bn of Russia's assets since the Russian government launched its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, previously, money provided to Ukraine using Russia's assets had exclusively been taken from gains and dividends generated on them.

Sir Keir assured President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and Germany were in agreement in their aim to push forward toward employing the total worth of the immobilized Russian sovereign assets to halt hostilities.

He added that additional sanctions soon would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This statement is subsequent to European Union officials gathered in the Danish capital last week to debate using frozen Russia's funds for a €140 billion loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, US President Donald Trump encouraged international partners to seize or otherwise use immobilized Russian holdings, as reported by media sources.

The total of frozen Russia's assets in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

Leader Zelensky urges Britain's Sir Keir Starmer to participate in the Purl program

The Russian government carried out widespread aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on Friday, causing power cuts in many areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and several other zones.

Two people were fatally injured and no fewer than 20 people were wounded in the attack, authorities in Ukraine reported.

In a message on an online platform following the incident, Zelensky commented that the cynical and calculated attack targeted non-military and power facilities.

"What is required is not just talk but concrete steps - from the US, Europe, and the G7 - in supplying defense mechanisms and applying penalties," he stated.

"All penalty impositions diminishes Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky wrote, in a separate post.

Additionally that day, Zelensky stated to media outlets he would urge Sir Keir to participate in the weapons procurement programme, under which partner nations buy military equipment from the US to donate to Ukraine.

While applauding the Britain's firm backing for Ukraine, he remarked it should send a clear signal that it would take part in the system, as well as enforce more sanctions on the Russian Federation.
